Alfred Heinrichs, born in East Berlin, discovered his passion for techno in 1992 when he received his first record from DJ Rok over the Hardwax counter. Inspired by the revolutionary punkish atmosphere of the techno movement of the 90s, he quickly found his way behind the decks of Berlin clubs. At the age of 20, he began producing electronic music himself and released his first vinyl in 1997 under his initial pseudonym on dns Records.
As the label owner of supdub, supdub digitales, Moonplay, and Chapter, Alfred Heinrichs is known for his open, lively, and somewhat eccentric personality, which is also evident in his productions. His diverse range of sounds inspires him to create unique compositions with attention to detail. With feeling, refined rhythm, and integrated sound play, he impresses his fans time and time again with his DJ live sets.
In 2003, he founded Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner and, together with his DJ colleague Sascha Braemer, developed the successful sound “the simply beat from the street,” which resonated nationally and internationally. His extensive experience as a producer and his musical sensitivity make his sets unique sound experiences.
Alfred Heinrichs has achieved numerous successes, including the “Me and my boys” tour in autumn/winter 2013 and the album “Personal Magic,” which landed on the top spot of Beatport’s minimal release charts within 24 hours. His productions have been released on renowned labels such as Frenchkitchen and Katermukke. Remixes for renowned artists and labels have further contributed to his success.
In October 2015, his track “Monster” appeared on the compilation “Dockyard 2015” by Deeperfect alongside other well-known artists. At the same time, he launched the weekly radio show “Open Minded” on Pure.FM with René Bourgeois, which has already featured many famous guests.
Alfred Heinrichs’ output is impressive, and his live performances in Germany and Europe are a must for all fans of electronic music.
